I don’t normally leave the house with an empty stomach but for this occasion, I had to. The Battersea Foodie Festival at Battersea Park caused a stir yesterday (July 29) with their variety of dishes, sauces, treats and tipples; with noodles from the corner of South Asia to jerk chicken from Jamaica to some delicious meat from our very own shores.
Particularly, the whiff of curry at the Indian stall managed to draw me and my friend in despite competition from the Spanish and Moroccan stalls and the giant block of cheese near the Harvey Nichols Food Court, which was equally inviting.

And there are plenty of sweeties for those with a penchant for sugar. There was one stall offering a collection of chocolate with strange flavours (rose and pepper being one of them) and another selling an intriguing set of popcorn (never heard of cheese on toast flavoured popcorn).
You can also chill out and relax with a cup of gin, Pimms or other tasty tipples while listening to live music and enjoying the summer sunshine.
If you still can’t get enough of food, you can watch top chefs prepare and cook up quality dishes and even get the chance to pick up some cooking skills through their masterclasses.
Don’t miss out on this scrumptious event and treat your taste buds with a a cocktail of flavours tingling on your tongue!
You can get tickets on their website.
